I am thrilled that a year after opening the shop, I have been shortlisted for 3 prestigious, EDP Bride Wedding Awards. Although I have been designing and making shoes for 7 years now, the brick and mortar shop was launched last year.

Via 3 rigourous judging days, I am shortlisted for:

Newcomer of the Year

Bridal Jeweller or accessory Designer of the Year

Bride Innovation of the Year.

The award's night takes place later in the month. Fingers crossed!

Last year, I was delighted to be approached by two local ladies who had won awards in the prestigious, EDP Bride awards. They wanted to put together an editiorial including local bridal suppliers who had also won awards within the ceremony. So I was thrilled, as I had not applied to win an award!

Karen and Emily brought together a Fauvism shoot that was bursting with local creativity and talent with me designing and making the shoes.

The shot went to print, including in Your Norfolk Wedding and Bride Magazine.

Commitment to the community is very important for Milly J Shoes who was contacted by the National Centre For Craft & Designs' Young People's Group to materialise a pair of shoes to their design. Based on the two sides of a clown, I handmade a pair that is now also exhibited at the National Centre For Craft & Design.
